Travel Basketball Team - Tryouts
The Greater Morristown YMCA is excited to announce tryouts for our Travel Basketball Teams this winter! Players will have the opportunity to develop their skills, build teamwork, and compete in the New Jersey YMCA Basketball League and Tournament.
Teams are overseen by Coach Kenny Smith.

Saturday, September 26th
Tryout Time
U10 (3rd/4th Grade): 11:30am – 12:30pm
U12 (5th/6th Grade): 12:30pm – 1:30pm
U14 (7th/8th Grade): 1:30pm – 2:30pm

Greater Morristown YMCA Gymnasium, 79 Horsehill Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ
About the Program
Teams will practice two nights per week and will begin in November.
Games may be scheduled during the week or on weekends. (Season usually runs December to the beginning of March)
Game locations include the Greater Morristown YMCA, other local YMCAs, and outside organizations.
The Y’s program emphasizes skill development, teamwork, fair play, and fun—helping players grow as athletes and as individuals.

Program is Open to Members and Non-Members
- Non-members must activate a Travel Basketball Team Non-Member membership to register.
Saturday, September 26th
3rd/4th Grade – Open to players in grades 3 or 4, who are ages 10 and under.
5th/6th Grade – Open to players in grades 5 or 6, who are ages 12 and under.
7th/8th Grade – Open to players in grades 7 or 8, who are ages 14 and under.
