Travel Basketball Team - Tryouts

The Greater Morristown YMCA is excited to announce tryouts for our U14 Travel Basketball Teams this winter! Players will have the opportunity to develop their skills, build teamwork, and compete in the New Jersey YMCA Basketball League and Tournament.

Coached by Coach Kenny Smith & Staff.

Tryout Dates

• Tuesday, December 9th or Thursday, December 11th

Tryout Time

• 7th/8th Grade: 7:15 PM – 8:45 PM

Location

Greater Morristown YMCA Gymnasium, 79 Horsehill Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ

About the Program

• Teams will practice two nights per week.

• Games may be scheduled during the week or on weekends. (Season usually runs December to the beginning of March)

• Game locations include the Greater Morristown YMCA, other local YMCAs, and outside organizations.

• The Y’s program emphasizes skill development, teamwork, fair play, and fun—helping players grow as athletes and as individuals.

What to Bring

• Sneakers or court shoes

• Water bottle

• Positive attitude and readiness to play!
