Pre-Progressive Swim Lessons

For ages 6-12 years

For grade school aged children who are new to swim lessons.  Our teaching staff will work with swimmers on water acclimation, water movement and an introduction to stroke development.

Goals: Swim with arms out and face in the water for 15 meters and elementary backstroke for 15 meters.

This class is intended for beginner level swimmers.  An evaluation is not required.  

For ages 6-12 years

Participants in this class have either completed Polliwog I or can swim with arms out and face in the water for 15 meters. Swimmers will continue working on elementary backstroke and backstroke is introduced in this level.

Goals: Swim 25 meters independently of freestyle and elementary backstroke.

Evaluations come in the form of progress reports following the end of a session or an individual swim evaluation from our Aquatics staff.  Evaluations must be current (From the session that just concluded or a swim test done in the several weeks preceding registration).  Progress reports from previous sessions/swim evaluations older than three (3) months old will require re-evaluation prior to registration.
